On October 30, major Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group announced that its Hebei-based subsidiary Shijiazhuang Iron and Steel Co. (Shigang) exported 251,000 mt of finished steel in the first three quarters of the current year, up by 8.1 percent year on year, bringing in $168 million in sales revenues.
Meanwhile, also according to Hebei Steel Group, one of its subsidiaries, Hebei-based steelmaker Xuanhua Iron and Steel Co. (Xuanhua Steel), has signed a contract for the supply of 7,000 mt of long steel products to China Railway Material (South China) Group Co., a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation.
