CSC's Demand for Al-Killed Finished Steel Wires Have Become Weak

Affected by slight price rise on wire rods made by China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan, the demand for Al-killed finished steel wires have become weak.

However, the transaction prices of CSC’s Al-killed finished steel wires have still remained stable at NT$26,000~NT$26,500/ton in the Taiwanese market in spite of weak demand.

Industry sources said that the better performance of the downstream screw makers in export markets helped to support the transaction prices of Al-killed finished steel wires.
