MILOS Recently Staged a Very Successful Product Seminar in Guangzhou, China

Trussing manufacturer MILOS recently staged a very successful product seminar and safety awareness workshop at its facility in Guangzhou, China, which was well attended by companies and individuals from Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand and Indonesia as well as mainland China.

The two day event - the fourth that Milos has undertaken in China - was modelled on the workshops that Milos regularly runs in Europe.

It was open for any interested parties to apply for places, and was attended by a wide selection of entertainment industry professionals including riggers, project supervisors, rental companies and designers.

The workshop illustrated "the high quality of Milos' trussing, roofing and staging products and emphasised the benefits of using the best products and always following safe working practices".

The Workshop was led by MILOS China's Chief Engineer Marek Zubor, MILOS Sales Manager Michal Zykan and Stephen Huang, Director of MILOS Guangzhou.

The programme started with a full factory tour of the impressive Guangzhou plant showing the manufacturing processes in action, together with the quality assurances that accompany all Milos products.

This was followed by an overview and a profile of Milos regionally and globally with an outline of future business and development strategies. 2012 has been a major year for the company, which became the largest aluminium trussing manufacture in the world with the acquisition of the Tomcat and Litec brands.

The most popular of the company's extensive current product ranges were examined in depth during the workshop, with particular focus on new products introduced to China this year - the T12 modular display system and X-Truss range.

The safety session was led by Michal Zykan and Marek Zubor. It began by outlining the potential hazards of working with temporary trussing systems outdoors and the environmental conditions that can impact on projects; safety rules at work; specifying the correct equipment for the situation and using it appropriately; accident prevention and personal safety protection. This was followed by a Q&A session with a very keen interest shown by all attendees.

At the end of the event, all guests were presented with a Certificate of Attendance, and Milos gathered plenty of positive feedback about what they felt had been gained from the experience.

Milos is currently experiencing a healthy growth of its business in South East Asia and the Indian subcontinent which is seeing there is a growing demand for quality, and has also recently spearheaded new business in Korea and Australia.
