Japanese carmaker Nissan Motor has unveiled the new Cima hybrid in the country.
Cima is powered by a hybrid VQ35HR engine which will generate a maximum power of 225kW (306PS)/6800rpm and maximum torque of 350nm and is mated to an electronic 7-speed hybrid transmission with manual shift mode.
The engine is combined with a 'HM34' electric motor with maximum power output of 50kW (68PS) and maximum torque of 270nm (27.5kgfm) and a lithium-ion battery featuring a quick charge/discharge function.
Its features include electro-hydraulic power steering system, which drives the pump by electric motor to produce hydraulic pressure, an electric driven intelligent brake and a regenerative braking system.
The hybrid's safety technologies comprise intelligent control assist (distance control assist), intelligent cruise control and intelligent brake assist/emergency brake operated pre-crash front seat belts.
It will also feature lane departure prevention (LDP)/ lane departure warning (LDW) / forward collision warning (FCW) and vehicle dynamic control including traction control system (VDC).
Nissan said that it is planning to sell about 1,000 units of the new hybrid per year which will be priced between JPY7.35m ($90,344) to JPY8.4m ($103,250), with the sales expected to begin this may.
