After Taiwan's China Steel Corp. (CSC) had cut its wire rod base price by NT$400/MT in this December, CSC has announced recently that they will keep its electric furnace's Al-killed steel wire rod base price flat for next January.
CSC's new base price will still stay at NT$20,400/MT, but the actual selling price in Taiwan domestic market will be NT$19,200~19,900/MT.
The market participants said although the current global scrap and iron ore price are both still stayed at the high level, the weak market demand has still caused CSC can only keep its new price flat.
