Brazilian Steelmakers Have Announced to Raise The Steel Selling Prices in January

It’s reported that several steelmakers in Brazil have recently announced to raise the steel selling prices in January as the surged prices of iron ore and coking coals have boosted the input costs. It’s known that the selling prices of coking coals increased by 10% to US$161/ton in Brazil in the recent 5 months. Also, the iron ore prices jumped significantly to US$160/ton. It’s known that ArcelorMittal Brasil, Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) and Usiminas have all increased the steel prices by 3%~8% from January.
