Total export values and quantities: the total export value of Chinese salts & esters of citric acid maintained the trend of growth from 2009 to 2011, and the export quantity grew sharply in 2010, while 2011 and 2010 kept the same level.

Average export unit price: in the past 3 years, the average export unit price of Chinese salts & esters of citric acid continuously increased, up 7.1% year on year in 2010 in comparison with 2009. The growth rate of 2011 was higher than that of 2010, with a rise of 16.9% year on year.

Export seasonal variations: according to export quantity and value monthly trends, the export quantity of February was the lowest, and that of March reached the peak. Other months maintained stable relatively.

Export markets: the export markets of Chinese salts & esters of citric acid were dispersed relatively. Sorted by export value in 2011, the top ten countries were Japan, Holland, Germany, Brazil, Thailand, Indonesia, Belgium, Canada, Spain and Italy, which occupied 58.4% of the total export values of Chinese salts & esters of citric acid in sum. According to the changes of the market shares, in the past 3 years, the proportions of Brazil and Thailand's export values for Chinese salts & esters of citric acid grew continuously, which increased 2.2% and 0.5% respectively in 2011 compared to 2009. However, the proportion of Holland and Belgium’s export values for Chinese salts & esters of citric acid declined continuously, which dropped 1% and 3.5% respectively in 2011 compared to 2009.

According to export data monthly trends, the export quantity of February was the lowest, and that of March reached the peak. Other months maintained stable relatively. The export condition of Chinese salts & esters of citric acid was not optimistic in 2012. In the field of export market, the proportions for Brazil and Thailand's market share grew better relatively, but the export conditions for Holland and Belgium were serious relatively. The major export markets for Chinese salts & esters of citric acid were still Japan, Holland, Germany, Brazil, Thailand, Indonesia, Belgium, Canada, Spain and Italy, but the market concentration was declined year by year.
