A teaser image of what could be a new Skoda Rapid RS model has been released.
Giving very little away, the single teaser shot shows a red Skoda Rapid from the rear highlighting a slightly revised and tinted rear tail-light and a black boot lid.
While the Czech brand's only hint came via its Facebook page, where it asked, "Wait a minute, could this be something completely new?", speculation is rife that the car teased could be a production version of the Rapid Sport concept revealed at this year's Worthersee tuning show in May.
The concept car was finished in two-tone red and grey exterior paintwork and featured aggressive front and rear bumpers and side skirts, emboldened tail-lights, a black boot lip spoiler, squared-off dual-exit exhaust system and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The interior was treated to a sports steering wheel, Recaro seats and illuminated door sills.
Due to go on sale in?Australia?in the coming months priced at an expected sub-$20K starting price,?the standard Skoda Rapid liftback sedan?could be followed next year by the recently spied Rapid Spaceback.
