White Oak Frozen Foods, a subsidiary of Cascade Specialities, plans to set up a new frozen food facility in Merced, California for an undisclosed amount.
The new 70,000ft2 facility is expected to create 120 new job opportunities and buy locally grown crops, reported Cbs47.tv.
White Oak sales vice president Dan Wilkinson said, "We supply ingredients to these companies. For instance tomatoes on the top of this pizza are products that we process."
Currently, the company supplies its products to chains including Frito Lay, General Mills, and McDonalds. It processes thousands of tons of vegetables annually.
The facility is a part of the Jain Irrigation Systems. It has presence in 120 countries globally with thousands of employees.
