Alexey Kulichenko, Chief Financial Officer of Severstal, one of the world’s leading steel and steel-related mining companies, has been named the winner in the Best Chief Financial Officer category at the 11th Annual ARISTOS awards Hosted by the Russian Managers Association on November 25 in Moscow. Also nominated at this years’ awards, which annually recognize the achievements of Executives at Russia-based companies, included Severstal’s Deputy General Director for Personnel Development, Andrey Mityukov (in the Best HR-Director category) and Corporate Secretary, Oleg Tsvetkov (in the Best Corporate Secretary category). The winners are chosen by members of the Award Academy from a list of nominees comprising the leading senior executive managers in the Russian Managers top-1000 rating.
Upon receiving the award, Alexey Kulichenko commented: “I am incredibly honored and proud to receive this award and the recognition from my peers. Other nominees for Best Financial Director included Irina Afanasieva (Vimpelcom) and Irina Matveeva (Renova). The awards ceremony is an initiative of the Russian Managers Association, an independent non-governmental organization aimed at supporting Russian managers and promoting international standards and business practices in the Russian business community. The association’s annual ARISTOS award ceremony (named after “Aristos”, Greek for “best”) is based on the principle of “the best choosing the best” with the final decision being taken by ARISTOS academics and judged objectively based on the candidates’ professional achievements. The ceremony aims to promote examples of great achievement in professional development and demonstrate how support for local initiatives can contribute to developing Russian society.
