Five Mine Protected Vehicles to Jharkhand Police in India Are Delivered by Tata

Tata Motors has delivered five mine protected vehicles (MPV) to the Jharkhand Police force in India to strengthen security preparedness.

The order follows a vehicle order already received by the automaker from the Maharashtra state police in India to supply 32 MPV's.

Tata Motors VP of defence & government business Vernon Noronha said that the company's defence solutions covers the complete range of logistics and armoured vehicles that have been popular in supporting the police and paramilitary forces across the country.

"The Tata MPV will take protection of the Jharkhand Police to the next level, even against IED's (Improvised Explosive Device) and anti-personnel mines," Noronha said.

The MPV is based on modular flexibility including V-shaped hull blast protection technology that is ideally suited for security operations.
