Paper Cup Company Associated with Wrap Partner Are Going to Reduce Packaging Waste

UK-based Paper Cup Company is keen to work with WRAP (waste & resources action programme) to help increase the overall rate of packaging waste that is being recycled or composted.

According to WRAP, it aims for a CO2e reduction of 234,000 tons, by cutting 5% of food and packaging waste through sector wide UK voluntary agreement, for which just 25% of the sector has signed up.

Paper Cup Company has decided to support the Hospitality and Food Service Agreement, in order to realize respective food and associated packaging waste prevention targets.

WRAP chief executive officer Liz Goodwin said the vast amount of food and packaging waste produced by Hospitality and Food Service and disposed in landfills each year is a challenge that can be jointly tackled by WRAP and the four UK governments.
