Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton Both See Iron Ore and Coal Deliveries to Be Lower

It's reported that Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton both see iron ore and coal deliveries to be lower due to several cyclones attacked northern Australia earlier this year. It is also expected that there will more shipments in the April to June quarter since less weather influence. Analysts expect that Rio iron ore production for March quarter will be 58.2 million tons, about 7% down from the previous quarter. Besides, BHP's expected iron ore production dropped to 39.5 million tons from the previous quarter, as well as the coal production to be down by about 8% decrease. Both companies will reveal the quarter production report this week.
