Japanese carmaker Infiniti is planning to unveil the new electric vehicle concept at the New York Auto Show in US next month.
The company said that the EV will use the powertrain of the Nissan Leaf which will be the enhanced lithium-ion battery than Leaf's 24 kwh battery pack which will facilitate the concept car to reach from 0-60 mph in about 9 seconds.
Infinity will also upgrade the charging system for the new EV concept to facilitate the exhausted battery to recharge 50% quicker.
The company has previously unveiled the Emerg-E concept which is powered by a 1.2 litre three-cylinder petrol engine and two electric motors.
Infiniti EV concept will be launched in 2014.
