The LDK 1 Officially Commissioned Its New Sawmill in Lesosibirsk

On 20 June 2013, the Siberian lumber producer Lesosibirsky LDK 1 officially commissioned its new sawmill in Lesosibirsk. Two sawing lines, a HewSaw SL250 Trio and a HewSaw R200SE from the Finnish mechanical-engineering company Veisto were installed at the mill, which boasts sawing capacity of 1.5m m3 of roundwood per year. The maximum feed speed is 160 m/min. The Estonian company Hekotek, as general contractor, was responsible for logistics and for the setting-up of the lines. The lumber sorting lines were supplied by the Finnish company Heinola Sawmill Machinery, a sister company of Hekotek. Hekotek delivered two stacking lines and the roundwood feeds. The order for the debarking lines was placed with Valon Kone, while the sharpening machines were supplied by German Vollmer Werke Maschinenfabrik. Lesosibirsky LDK 1 had already commissioned a new roundwood-sorting line from Hekotek in the second quarter of 2011.
