The Co-operative Food,a UK-based retail chain,has recalled a batch of its own-brand Truly Irresistible Whole Cherry Tomato and Chilli Pasta Sauce,as some of the jars may contain pieces of glass,according to the UK Food Standards Agency(FSA).
A manufacturing fault has led to the contamination of the pasta sauce product.
The product being recalled is:Co-operative Truly Irresistible Whole Cherry Tomato and Chilli Pasta Sauce,340g,with a production code:LM111.
The company noted that it will be displaying notices in stores explaining the actions consumers can take if they have bought the affected product.It has warned consumers not to consume to affected product.
No other The Co-operative products are known to be affected.
