Japanese carmaker Nissan Motor has unveiled the new Note hatchback in Yokohama.
According to Nissan, the new hatchback will be offered with two powertrain options including the new supercharged HR12DDR (DIG-S) and the HR12DE for Japanese market.
The new three-cylinder supercharged, direct injection DIG-S engine will be mated to a XTRONIC continuously variable transmission (CVT) featuring an Idling Stop System for 2WD, which provides enhanced fuel efficiency and an economy of 25.2 km/l.
Other features of the Note hatchback include around view monitor (AVM) that assists during reverse movement of the car and parallel parking in tight spaces.
Nissan said that the new Note for the Japanese market will be produced at Nissan Motor Kyushu facility and will be launched in the country this fall.
The carmaker's Sunderland plant in the UK will manufacture models for Europe, which are scheduled to be launched in 2013.
