Electronic component distributor Richardson RFPD Inc (an Arrow Electronics Company) of LaFox, IL, USA has introduced a new 0.7-3.8GHz ultra-low-noise amplifier made by Skyworks Solutions Inc of Woburn, MA, USA.
The SKY67151-396LF is a gallium arsenide (GaAs) pseudomorphic high-electron-
mobility transistor (pHEMT) low-noise amplifier (LNA) with an active bias (with a flexible bias voltage of 3-5V), high linearity (36dBm OIP3), high gain (26dB @ 1.0GHz), and what is claimed to be industry-leading noise figure performance from 0.7 to 3.8GHz (as low as 0.25dB). The SKY67151-396LF also features an adjustable supply current of 30--- 100mA. The device features Skyworks’ pHEMT enhancement-mode process in a compact 2mm x 2mm, 8-pin dual flat no-lead (DFN) package.
Richardson RFPD says that the new LNA is suited to a range of infrastructure and military and satellite radio applications, including LTE, GSM, WCDMA, HSDPA macro and micro base-stations, L- and S-band ultra-low noise receivers, cellular repeaters, DAS (distributed antenna systems) and RRH/RRUs (remote radio heads/units), tower-mounted amplifiers, and high-temperature transceiver applications up to +105°C.
