RPC Bebo, along with German tool producer Marbach, has developed a thermoformed screw closure system, called Turner.
The new system includes a cup, lid and lidding film that need to be sealed on the cup’s seal flange to cover the lid’s entire surface.
For opening, consumers required to peal back the lidding film and turn the lid in a 45° counter-clockwise rotation.
Suitable for car cup holders, the new system can resist the rigours of modern on-the-move lifestyles such as being carried in a rucksack, baby changing bag or school bag.
Turner cup and film is also a better alternative pack solution for pet foods, in addition to a variety of food-to-go applications such as ice cream, snacks and sweets.
The system has barrier properties that provide protection against oxygen, water vapour, UV and light.
The cup is provided with high definition printing, labelling and advanced in-mould label thermoforming (IML-T), while the lid is provided with patented Bebo Print for complete edge-to-edge coverage.

In March this year, RPC Bebo Deventer provided a multilayer thermoformed pot for a range of preservative-free dips produced by Dutch food company Lazy Foods.
The multilayer thermoformed pot with high pressure processing (HPP) treatment is helping the Dutch food firm to extend the shelf life of dips.
RPC has provided RO 115 cup to fill a range of preservative-free dips, and provide a shelf life between 30 days and 40 days.
