The third as well as engine plant of Guangqi Honda yesterday broke earth, planned to be completed and put into production by 2015, designed with an output of 120,000 vehicles in early stage, to be expanded to 240,000 vehicles in the future. Thus, the company will totally have production capacity of 720,000 vehicles plus existing outputs of other two plants already in operation. The total investment will be CNY 3.5 billion.
The third plant will be environmental friendly, with construction costs lowering from that for the second plant while efficiency improved, thanks to most advanced technology worldwide introduced by Honda Motor.
