China Metallurgical Group Co. (MCC) has stated that its subsidiary MCC20 Group Corp commissioned to build a new 100 tons converter No.1 at steelmaking facility for Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel producer Nanjing Iron and Steel Co. (NISCO) on November 23rd. This new design of converter is capable to produce nearly 4 million tons of crude steel per year along with a continuous slab casting mill to produce 3.5 million tons of slab annually.
