Many Chinese prefer to spend more money to get healthcare and treatment overseas. And the number has increased to 40 million in the past 6 years. In 2013, they spent $48.3 billion on overseas healthcare.
More and more Chinese pay visits to South Korea for cosmetic surgery and the number soared 17 times from 2009 to 2014. Chinese patients spent $126.6 million in South Korea.
They topped the foreign patients list, ahead of Russian and American visitors.
