Sanner Launched a Child-Resistant Tablet Packaging Design at This Year's Interpack Show

Friedrich Sanner, a Germany-based producer of plastic packaging for the pharmaceutical industry, launched a child-resistant tablet packaging design at this year's Interpack show. The packaging has a new ‘press-in, pull-up' mechanism so, as well as being childproof, is easy to open for the elderly. "Our cap offers clear advantages over the conventional press-and-twist versions, " says Sanner Product Manager Ulla Hahn. "The effort required to open the CR-FlipTop is significantly less – which makes the packaging much more user-friendly. " The cap offers good barrier properties and the desiccant integrated into the CR-FlipTop ensures moisture protection, says the firm. Depending on the specific product requirements and ingredients, the desiccants used are silica gel, molecular sieves, or a combination of both. Source: European Plastics News
