The Product Uses Lextar's 5630 Package That Has Obtained The LM-80 Certification

Lextar to introduce T8 LED light tube at Taiwan International Lighting Show Siu Han, Taipei; Jackie Chang, DIGITIMES [Thursday 21 March 2013] The Taiwan International Lighting Show will be held in Taipei from March 26-29 and Taiwan-based LED firm Lextar plans to exhibit an eight-foot (2.4m) T8 high efficiency LED tube light.

The product uses Lextar's 5630 package that has obtained the LM-80 certification. The tube light has brightness efficiency above 110lm/W and will be supplied to Japan-based customers.

Lextar added that compared to the traditional tube light, the new eight-foot LED tube light is more than 40% more efficient. The lifespan of the new product is 40,000 hours, which is five times more than traditional fluorescent lighting.

Main markets for the new product are Japan, Asia Pacific and Europe, shipments will begin in the second quarter of 2013.
