Pre-owned packaging and processing machinery Sigma Packaging is investing $5.51m to purchase and equip a new 231,000 ft2 facility in Evansville, Indiana.
The expansion will help in creating around 43 new jobs by 2018. The facility will be functional from January 2015 and will help Sigma increase its office space and storage facilities.
Founded in 2003, the company currently employs around 27 full-time associates and is a dealer of new and pre-owned processing and packaging equipment.
Indiana Economic Development Corporation president Eric Doden said: "Companies like Sigma Packaging find the full package in Indiana, complete with low taxes and regulations, a sturdy infrastructure and access to an elite workforce. The success story of Indiana's economy is only possible when great companies and great business climates come together, creating more jobs for Hoosiers."
The company also specialises in manufacturing machine rentals, rebuilds, refurbishments, retrofits, upgrades, audits, preventative maintenance and conversions.

The company has been given up to $350,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company's investment and job creation plans by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
