based vegetable grower and shipper Coastline has announced a new packaging design for its 2ct Lil Gem Hearts.
The new bags have a detailed description of the contents inside. The packaging introduces visuals of what Lil Gem tastes like.
Coastline CEO Phil Adrian said Little Gems look like tiny versions of romaine lettuce, with a crisp, crunchy texture and a sweet flavor which is same as butter lettuce.
"These gems are more resistant to the blister and peal than are other lettuces. Shelf life is nearly twice that of most other lettuces," Adrian said.
