The Falls of Swedish Roundwood Prices in North and South Sweden Were Slightly Lower

According to the latest survey conducted by the National Board of Forestry prices in the second quarter of 2012 for all roundwood ranges in Sweden showed average year-on-year decline of 9%. The price prevailing nationwide for sawable ranges was down to SKR489/m³ ex forest and was therefore also down year on year by 9%. While the average price for spruce roundwood declined by 8% to SKR500/m³, that for pine roundwood was down by 11% to SKR474/m³. Declining prices were shown nationwide for sawable roundwood. The biggest reductions were seen in Central Sweden, at 10%. The falls in North and South Sweden were slightly lower, at 8% and 5% respectively. Source: euwid-wood-products
