Global unwrought aluminum inventories at the end of April were up 144,000 mt from March and up 137,000 mt from April 2013, according to figures released Tuesday by the International Aluminium Institute.
Unwrought inventories totaled 1.355 million mt at the end of April, up from a revised March total of 1.211 million mt and up from 1.218 million mt at the end of April 2013.
Total aluminum inventories at the end of April were up 234,000 mt at 2.449 million mt, from a revised 2.215 million mt the previous month, and up 164,000 mt from 2.285 million mt at the end of April 2013, the IAI said.
