UK-based luxury car maker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has recalled over 70 units of Range Rover Evoque luxury crossovers due to a problem in rear brakes of the car.
The recall is issued for the cars manufactured on 11 June 2012 and is expected to begin by January 2013.
Range Rover Evoque is recalled due to the problem in the bolts of the rear brake calipers which have not been properly installed.
The loose bolts may result in isolation of the wheel from the brake calipers resulting in partial loss of brakes or a punctured tire leading to accidents.
The problem was detected after an unusual noise appeared from the rear of the vehicle during driving and application of the brakes.
In March 2012, JLR had introduced the Range Rover Evoque convertible concept at the Geneva Auto Show.
