The Austrian Pfeifer Group has announced extensive investment measures in its sites at Imst and Lauterbach. From January 2013, Pfeifer intends to carry out a thorough modernisation of its existing glulam plant at its headquarters in Imst. That plant, which was commissioned in 1996 and which since then has produced roughly 2m m³ of glulam timber, will be converted technically during the course of modernisation from what has until now been purely pole production to mainly customer-specific production.
