Amcor Is Using The Company'S Nyloprint Wsa 52 Digital Photopolymer Plates

Flint Group in Luxembourg has announced that Amcor is using the company’s nyloprint WSA 52 Digital photopolymer plates in collaboration with its recently installed 1-TBR Compact sheet-fed gravure press.

Australia-based Amcor installed HC Moog's sheet-fed gravure press, 1-TBR Compact at its Rickenbach tobacco packaging site in Switzerland in December 2011. The press can be used for printing, varnishing, debossing or calendaring.

The nyloprint WSA 52 Digital photopolymer printing plates have been used in addition to metal cylinders for sheet-fed gravure printing, primarily for test samples, prototypes and jobs with short print runs.

According to Amcor, the combination of the 1-TBR gravure press and nyloprint WSA 52 Digital plates improves the flexibility and speed to market of its tobacco packaging products.

Key advantages of the cost-efficient nyloprint photopolymer plates are the ease and speed of plate processing, even at a high image resolution.

The sheetfed gravure process covers a wide range of applications including the production of packaging for pharmaceutical products, spirits, food, cosmetics and tobacco or the use in security and label printing.
