German Pellets has invested a total of ?m in building a stationary log preparation plant at its headquarters. The company will be using the plant, which is being put into service over the next few days, to put its supply of raw material for pellet production at the works in Wismar on a broader base and also to make it-self more independent from seasonal fluctuations in deliveries of sawmill residues. Until now, only a stationary log planing plant for producing animal litter had existed in Wismar. This will remain in operation. Source: euwid-wood-products
