UK-based food packaging solutions firm Nicholl Food Packaging has revamped its range of aluminum foil trays for the fresh and convenience food sector with five new smoothwall variants.
Smoothwall trays feature a smooth rim, so that trays can be hermetically heat sealed with standard film on high speed machines, while the trays retain their solid texture even at high oven and grill temperatures, reported packagingeurope.com.
Gas flushing techniques can be incorporated into the filling and sealing phases of meal production which offer extended shelf-life.
The trays combine quality appearance with user-friendly benefits like easy handling and shatter-proof features and minimize the handling of ready meals, raw meat, hearted desserts and poultry.
