Indonesia's Iron and Steel Increased by 21.22 Percent Month on Month to $365.0 Million

According to the data announced by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in April this year the value of Indonesia's iron and steel imports increased by 15.59 percent compared to the previous month, amounting to $778.4 million, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel increased by 21.22 percent month on month to $365.0 million.

In the first four months of the current year, Indonesia's iron and steel import value amounted to $2.86 billion, falling 21.04 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel amounted to $1.41 billion, down 18.81 percent year on year.
