Whole Foods Market Has Recalled 'Plain Streusel Coffeecake' Produced and Sold in Bedfor

American foods supermarket chain Whole Foods Market has recalled 'Plain Streusel Coffeecake' produced and sold in Bedford, Massachusetts, due to an undeclared tree nut allergen.

The Plain Streusel Coffeecake has a 'Sell By' date between 19 September and 30 September 2014 and the recall has been initiated as the cake contained pecans as an ingredient.

The cake was sold in the store between September 19-25, 2014.

In order to notify customers of this recall, the company has posted a signage, with all affected products been removed from shelves.

Consumers who are allergic or have severe sensitivity to tree nuts, can face serious or life-threatening allergic reaction by consuming the product.

According to Whole Foods, no allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported so far.
