US-based Menasha Packaging has acquired a flexographic press to meet the growth in demand for its products.
The company provides graphic consumer packaging, merchandising solutions, corrugated packaging, food packaging, shipping containers, material handling solutions, pack-out and fulfillment services.
Menasha has purchased a Bobst Central Impression Flexographic 90SIX Printing Press that will help in doubling its capacity for preprinted linerboard orders. The company said that the presses offer minimum downtime and maximum efficiency.
The press will help the company maximise its efficiencies and optimise the customer's supply chain.
Group vice president for packaging and display at Menasha Packaging Mike Riegsecker said: "Menasha Packaging has recently seen an increased need to expand our flexographic printing services. This new printing press will allow Menasha to continue providing high-quality graphics while both fulfilling the demands of our current customers and allowing for future growth."
With the purchase of the equipment, this will be the second such machine to be owned by Menasha. It is expected to start production in the next 12 to 14 months.
