In May this year, Thailand's total motor vehicle output (excluding motorcycles) amounted to 148,011 units, down 36.17 percent year on year, according to a report released by the Thailand Automotive Institute. On the other hand, Thailand's motor vehicle output in the first five months of this year saw a year-on-year decrease of 29.5 percent to 792,233 units.
In May of the current year, Thailand's motor vehicle exports totaled 94,788 units, up 9.02 percent year on year, while in the first five months the country's motor vehicle exports increased by 2.94 percent year on year to 456,101 units.
In May, the number of motor vehicles sold in Thailand's domestic market totaled 69,681 units, down 37.7 percent year on year, while in the first five months the country's domestic motor vehicle sales decreased by 42.17 percent year on year to 367,112 units.
