Germany based KBA-Sheetfed has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Flint Group for the worldwide use of latter’s conventional sheet-fed ink series on high-performance KBA Rapida presses.
The agreement will see installation of each KBA new press using Flint Group sheetfed inks.
Flint Group sheetfed sales and global strategy vice-president said: “Our strategy is to work alongside industry leading equipment manufacturers to help us develop consistent, high quality and innovative products and services.
“This Agreement is an important extension of our global quality and service proposition and we are extremely pleased to have concluded it today with KBA.”
As part of the deal, Flint Group technical staff will assist KBA engineers to ensure that the press installed and running, producing high quality prints in a controlled and expertly managed process.
KBA-Sheetfed also recommends the use of different Flint Group ink series for different applications including printing on non-absorbent substrates or fast work-and-turn.
The company said that all the inks are subject to constant testing and will be modified based on the fast Rapida presses.
KBA-Sheetfed print technology head Dirk Winkler said: “We have achieved excellent and stable results with printing inks from Flint Group, not only in connection with our conventional ink benchmarking, but also during periodic high-performance tests in the areas of packaging, commercial, and Web2Print applications or label printing.”
The agreement is effective from 01 December 2016.
The two companies will also work together for use of the inks for print demonstrations in the customer centre, in the design and development departments, and for the factory testing of new presses.
