The Medical Society of Virginia Insurance Agency (MSVIA) has selected Digital Insurance, an employee benefits-only agency, as partner to help manage its employee benefits program, beginning April this year.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Richmond, Virginia office of Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA), will manage MSVIA's benefits caseload that range from sales to customer service.
Digital Insurance executive vice president and chief marketing officer Mike Sullivan said that the health care reform has presented new challenges for insurance agencies in terms of profitability and meeting clients' increasing needs.
By outsourcing their employee benefits programs, the agencies can save on costs associated with providing specialized expertise, infrastructure and operational capabilities, Sullivan added.
Built on the concept of partnerships, Digital Insurance provides employers with access to numerous carriers, tools, products and the ability to effectively navigate the complexities of health care reform.
MSVIA serves members of the Medical Society of Virginia together with other Virginia physicians through a variety of programs and services.
Following partnership agreement with DBA for its employee benefits business, the company will remain serving its members through its property and casualty division, which caters professional liability insurance and other ancillary products.
Operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial (FNF), Digital Insurance specializes in medical insurance for small businesses and mid-sized companies.
