Mondelez International Has Named Brian Gladden as Their New Chief Financial Officer

Mondelez International, an American multinational confectionery, food and beverage conglomerate, has named Brian Gladden, 49, as their new chief financial officer.

Gladden, a former CFO of Dell, will be assuming office from December 1.

Gladden is known for transforming Dell into a broader technology solutions company from a purely PC-focused company. He also led Dell into the leveraged buyout that took place this year.

His predecessor, David Bearton is stepping into a new role as executive vice president to look after the company's joint venture with D.E Master Blenders.

In May, Mondelez International and D.E. Master Blenders announced that they would link their coffee businesses together to form a company called Jacob Douwe Egberts. The joint venture, expected to establish next year, will have $7bn in revenue, according to the company.

The new joint venture and the CFO change is part of the company's growth objectives.

Mondelez International is a snack manufacturing company selling its products in 165 countries. It is a house of brands including the likes of Oreo, Cadbury, and Tang. The company recorded revenues of $35bn in fiscal year 2013
