Kazakhstan Produced 205,159 Mt of Crude Steel, Down 37.9 Percent Year on Year

According to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan, in January of the current year Kazakhstan produced 205,159 mt of crude steel, down 37.9 percent year on year.

Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in January this year decreased by 55 percent year on year to 149,380 mt.

In the given month, Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production decline by 2.8 percent year on year to 136,207 mt.

In 2012, production of crude steel steel in Kazakhstan had decreased by 21.6 percent year on year to 3.77 million mt, while domestic ferroalloy output had increased by 3.3 percent year on year to 1.724 million mt.
