The smart grid advancements underway at San Diego Gas & Electric, including the installation of 2.3 million smart meters and an advanced Outage Management System using real-time data from the smart meters, have recently earned the utility two national recognitions.
Greentech Media, a national clean technology news and research website, has named SDG&E one of the top 10 North American utilities. And SDG&E was also recognized recently by the nonprofit smart grid advocate Smart Grid Consumer Collaborative as one of four utilities demonstrating successful smart grid customer engagement efforts.
