Academic Programs at Tip Was Evaluated by French Expert

French expert on textile retailing, garment sourcing and international trade Eric Mariaud is currently on a visit to the Textile Institute of Pakistan (TIP) in Karachi, to evaluate the academic programs offered in the institute, and provide guidance for future development and diversification of courses in line with global demands.
 
The expert’s visit has been organized by GIA Export Marketing Services Pvt Ltd, an export promotion agency for garments and home textile products of Pakistan.
 
Mr. Mariaud is an international buyer with over 30 years of experience in dealing with garment industries in various countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Philippines and Thailand.
 
The institute is heading towards its next development phase and the expert’s visit has been organized to give TIP the direction it needs for the next 20 years.
 
During his five-day visit the French expert will also be having interactive sessions with students and faculty at the institute. At the end of his stay, he would be presenting his findings and suggestions to the board of governors for future implementation.
 
TIP is a Higher Education Commission (HEC) organized institute established in 1994 by members of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA).
