Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China in June of the current year totaled $14.42 billion, up 0.2 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) on July 15. In the January-June period of the current year, FDI in China totaled $63.33 billion, up 2.2 percent year on year.
In the first half of the year, around $35.2 billion of the total FDI went into China's services industry, while FDI in Chinese manufacturing declined by 13.9 percent year on year to $22.8 billion. Meanwhile, overseas foreign direct investment by Chinese companies in the January-June period totaled $43.34 billion, down five percent year on year.
