A solution has meanwhile been found for the survival of the parquet manufacturer Huot Parquets, insolvent since September 2011, according to reports in the French media. The commercial court in Troyes has apparently approved the acquisition of the production facility by Prêt-á-Partir (PAP), a company that has not yet operated in the flooring sector. The reports say that parquet manufacturing will initially continue with 44 of the present 45 employees. The main assortments to be produced will be those for the higher price segment. PAP is also planning an overhaul of the drying facilities as well as the construction of its own surface-treatment unit. Huot had previously outsourced this processing stage to a Belgian company.
