Rotoflex has transferred full production of new slitter rewinders and die-cutting machines, formerly managed at the Mark Andy headquarters near St Louis, Missouri, to Toronto, Canada.
In 2016, the company's Canadian regional office moved to an 18,000ft² showroom and technology centre near Toronto.
Rotoflex said that increased sales over several years at its offline finishing solutions, including the newly launched HSI, Vericut3 and Security Series, led to the expansion of the Canadian facility.
The Mark Andy facility in Missouri, will now accommodate Rotoflex’s growth in the digital market by supporting demand for growing digital hybrid portfolio which includes production-level Digital Series, entry-level solution Digital One, and the Digital Plus program which offers digital retrofits to existing flexo platforms.
Apart from the regular manufacturing operations, the new Canadian facility will also be home to live machine demonstration, retrofits and rebuilds, engineering development and technical support and services.
The Mark Andy Poland and the UK regional demonstration facilities will also showcase Rotoflex equipment and worldwide sales will be taken care by local sales and distribution offices.
Rotoflex vice president Kevin Gourlay said: “The Rotoflex brand continues to be strongly focused on design and providing advanced solutions to respond to our customers’ business.
"With many legacy design experts and technical specialists in Toronto, having our Canadian facility fully operational with manufacturing was a logical move.”
