India-based Torrent Pharma’s US subsidiary has announced the recall of the company’s anti-psychotic drug Olanzapine 10mg tablets from the US market due to a packaging issue.
Torrent manufactured the drug for Prasco Labs in the US, which specializes in authorized generics and generics.
The recall has been made out of fear that the drug's packaging may remove or block lower moisture than what is approved according to the standards of the US FDA.
The reason behind the recall is cited by FDA as 'Defective Container'.
