China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan has completed its order collection for the Taiwanese domestic market after the company announced to cut its price by 0.75% in average for next January and February.
According to news, CSC's order collection in carbon steel flat products is better than what the company expected.
However, due to the current slow market demand, CSC's order collection for wires and bars is lower than their estimates.
CSC's target of order collection volumes are at 2.9 million tons for the first quarter of 2014.
It is highly possibility that CSC's order collection volumes for the first quarter of next year could remain at the same level of the fourth quarter of this year.
