In January of the current year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports increased by 0.58 percent year on year and by 5.25 compared to the previous month to $1.56 billion, according to the preliminary statistics issued by the Taiwanese Ministry of Finance.
Meanwhile, in the same month, the country's iron and steel import value totaled $817.90 million, down 26.24 percent year on year and decreasing by 12 percent month on month.
