Thomson Has Procured The SX52-5+L Packaging

Scotland-based packaging and labeling products firm Thomson Print & Packaging has procured the SX52-5+L packaging from Heidelberg at the international print technology fair Drupa in Germany that concluded earlier this month.

Thomson will now have two 5-color and coater presses of the same format to switch jobs and staff easily, as the existing press uses Axis Control while the new one is also powered with Easy Control, enabling it to store specific Pantones along with measuring color and scan.

Thomson Print & Packaging commercial director Veronica Thomson said they have been using the Saphira consumables from Heidelberg.

"We have had Japanese presses before but Heidelberg technology is the best in our experience." added Thomson.

According to the firm, a Polar 78N Plus having weighing scales, jogger and extended tables and Ricoh C751 digital press were also purchased.
